I found it sad, touching, and beautiful, all at the same time. (The situation isn't beautiful, that was the sad part, but your writing is really good!) I felt so bad that your father worked for seven years to build up to one day, only to have it be the day he began to get divorced. I could tell you put a lot of emotion and feeling into it, and although you say your stoyry "isn't unique," I still say it touched my heart! This story is wonderful. Haha,I was kind of surpised because not many ten year olds know proper grammar. His vocabulary is pretty advanced,too.
