Allen Nu, 5
Today we had a unifying place to hold a wonderful party at Zoom to celebrate Anna’s ten years old birthday. She is a sweet and lovely girl , especially she likes to giggle and speaks brightly with a big smile on her face. We classmates prefer to play with her whether in the classroom or outside.

Perfect For Me
April Yu, 13
Slivers of moonlight
Leaking in through the glass
Pictures framed on the walls
Frozen in memories past
Stars freckled across
The milky indigo sky
A breeze lilting in the air
A gale, a gust, a sigh

Editor's Note: Recently, Stone Soup blogger Thee Sim Ling reached out to us to ask if she could arrange an interview with one of her favorite authors, James Ponti. Luckily, the bestselling author of the City Spies series generously agreed! Below is their conversation, where they discuss writing about different cultures, literary influences, favorite characters, and more.
With the ability to summon any mammal, I was safe. So, my adventure started in the Mystic Woods. That was a warm, breezy day when the soil opened in a fold and I fell in.

I See
Mairead Sheehy-Moss, 12
Plants soaking up the sun
putting my hair in a bun
just for seeing no one
I see a rotten piece of gum
and a big fat purple plum
sitting there, yum
