Jot down a list of all your traits. Write a fantasy story revolving around a character that shares some, if not all of these same traits and see what they do. How do they handle the situation? Then, add in a villain of the story with complete opposite traits. Will the main character duel with the villain? Run away? How will the two characters interact?

The Stone Soup Weekly Writing Workshop is open to all Stone Soup contributors and subscribers. Every Friday, we meet for an hour-and-a-half via Zoom to respond to a new writing challenge, write together in our virtual room, and then share what we have written with one another.
Write about what may happen if predator and prey switched places (i.e. if a mouse switched places with a bird, or if a fly switched places with a frog). How would the food chain work? How would the prey feel about becoming a predator? How would the predator feel about becoming the prey? You may switch off perspective or focus on one of the two in a poem, play, short story, or other form of media.
Create a poem with an eerie or creepy tone. You can make the poem as nonsensical or as relatable as possible, but retain the sense of being unsettled throughout.
This is a Monday prompt, so if you are writing your response in the week it was first published, you can submit it to our Weekly Flash Contest, via Submittable!
Imagine your favorite food as a protagonist in a story. Describe their personality and defining features – are they quiet? Intelligent? Short? Grumpy? The choice is up to you. What do they like to do? Who are their friends? Write “A day in the life” story about them.
