Write a story entirely in tweets or other social media posts.
Write a story about your own life where somebody else is the main character.
Use a collection of homemade instruments to make a song.
Draw a scene at a hairdresser or barber shop where everyone has crazy hair. Or you could even draw pets with crazy fur at the groomer’s!
Write a story based on an unexpected answer to a “Would You Rather” question. Why did the character respond in that way?
Pick three items of clothing from your closet, and create characters who you think would wear them. Draw them on a piece of paper and make a list of their qualities. Are they funny or serious? What kind of food do they like? Do they play any sports?
Write down the first three words that come to mind. Then, start every sentence in your story with one of those words.
Design a menu for an imaginary restaurant. Get creative–the restaurant doesn’t even have to be for people!
Write a story about a family heirloom that’s been passed down for generations (it can be real or made up). Maybe it’s even haunted…
Write a list of random words. Then, use the first ten that come to mind in a poem.
